The University of the Third Age (U3A) movement provides life-enhancing opportunities for retired and semi-retired people. It is a learning co-operative of older people, which enables members to act as both learner and teacher in the sharing of many educational, creative and leisure activities.

There are 985 local U3As across the UK. Each U3A is an independently managed charitable association apart of the umbrella body The Third Age Trust and run entirely by volunteers. It is the only educational organisation in the UK run entirely by its own members. The opportunity to socialise, learn and create is hugely enriching and beneficial to the wellbeing of its members.

We are currently working with them on The Boys on the Plaque.
