Artist Story

Russell Webb

Archive Events & Talks (16 August 2018, 7.15pm - 9.30pm)
Often reminiscent of relics and souvenirs, Russell Webb’s strange and beautiful sculptures and objects take us willingly into his imaginative world. Whilst his work is often simple poetic observations about the temporality of life, much of his artistry lies in the use of his considerable and meticulous craft skills to transform found and commonplace items into extraordinary yet believable objects. In this illustrated talk Russell will outline his approach to his work which includes sculpture, film and books.

Doors will open at 7:00pm. The talk will last for about 40 minutes with an opportunity to ask questions and see the exhibition after the talk has finished.
