Love movies? Want to choose what goes on the big screen? Join our group of film enthusiasts aged 18 - 25 to co-curate and present a series of professional and collaborative film screenings in our unique contemporary art gallery.

Facilitated by Fabrica's experienced team, the group meets once per month to chat about films, learn about the industry and how to deliver film events that are led by young people, for young people.

Participants can gain professional development through hands-on experience, specialist guidance and peer support. Collaborate and realise your vision alongside people who are as passionate about film as you are.

We help develop skills and experience in:

  • Curation
  • Marketing
  • Copy-writing
  • Social Media
  • Eventising
  • Archiving
  • And much more

Fresh Perspectives have collaborated in the past with Cinecity Film Festival, BFI, and the Women’s Over Fifty Film Festival. We’ve hosted double-bills, short film festivals, and even curated archival footage. There are always different opportunities to showcase cinema with a creative spark.

Fresh Perspectives is free to all participants but there are limited spaces. This is an ongoing opportunity and you can apply at any time. We review applications four times per year. New members will be accepted as spaces become available.

“Working with Fabrica on Fresh Perspectives has been a wonderful learning experience that has introduced me into a career path into film programming! I've learnt lots of skills to setting up a pop-up cinema, as well as the challenges, and given me valuable industry insights, such as distribution and licensing. It’s allowed for collaboration with fantastic film organisations, and I couldn’t be more grateful.”
