‘A Day’ is a 5m x 3m digital canvas with a 4.6m long mantle piece in front holding 35 porcelain vessels. The vessels and backdrop incorporate with each other giving a lose interpretation of a day working in colour. Tanya will discuss the process of applying for an Arts Council Grant and the implications it has had with the project and the development of her work.

With an MA in Ceramics from the Royal College of Art, Tanya’s process is practice led. Developed from traditional methods and disciplines Tanya has honed her skills over the last 15 years and uses dynamic throwing, cutting and assembling techniques to create large cylindrical shapes.

As a master in her craft, Tanya’s contemporary and original work is recognised by collectors and museums. She has gained much acclaim exhibiting internationally and continues to evolve her style, experimenting and pushing her practice. She has a studio in Lewes, East Sussex.
