Can’t Let It Go/ Roy Szuper/ 2025/ 1hr&25mins / Rated 15+

It's November on the eve of the Presidential election and five New York couples discuss their contrasting views.

A Black Queer Trump supporter, a Democratic dominatrix, and an apolitical model grapple with clashing ideologies and crumbling patience, and explore the limits of love and tolerance. As debates escalate, politics get personal.

“I woke up on November 9, 2016 with a post-election hangover,” says Szuper. “This film was my way of processing the madness—and making people laugh through it. With the advent of a second Trump term, the film feels more relevant than ever.”

Can’t Let It Go, with support from The James Ivory Foundation, was primarily self-funded. Szuper’s satirical yet heartfelt storytelling draws comparisons to indie classics like Clerks and Living in Oblivion.

Rated 15+ Contains strong language and sex references
