Join us for an evening of thought-provoking discussion and film preservation, centered around the Temple of Cinema exhibition. The talk will delve into three key themes: language, space, and time, exploring their relationship to the exhibition. Daniel Bird, writer, film historian, and curator, will be joined by Frank Gray for a conversation about the importance of preserving film culture. They will also highlight the urgent need to reclaim and protect Armenian, Georgian, Ukrainian, and other cultural heritages of former Soviet republics.

7.30pm - In This World: Sayat Nova Outtakes Live
A special screening of outtakes from Sayat Nova, including camera tests and black leader, accompanied by the sounds of The Colour of Pomegranates. This live projection has been reworked by Daniel Bird in collaboration with the original composer, Tigran Mansurian.
