(14 August 2014, 7.00pm - 8.00pm)
This special performance and screening of a selection of Claude Cattelain’s films is the final event in Claude’s residency at Fabrica.
This performance was part of Time and Place (TAP), a three-year (2012-15), European-funded collaborative project involving five partners across England and France.
Focusing on specific urban, rural and coastal areas in Pas de Calais, Basse Normandie, Brighton & Hove and Norfolk. The partners were: Sainsbury Centre for Visual Art, UK; FRAC Basse Normandie, France; Musée des Beaux Arts, Calais; Communauté d’Agglomération du Calais and Fabrica, UK. TAP engaged and explored the cultural and environmental heritage of these areas, with a broad audience including socially excluded individuals and groups.
The project was grown around two central themes: Aftermath, the heritage of war; art, conflict and death and Changing Landscape, which explored the environmental and social aspects of the marine landscape. Time and Place featured a comprehensive programme of exhibitions, conferences, research opportunities, professional development and education activities. The project has now been completed but please visit the following resources for more information and documentation:
