Join us for a relaxed and open conversation that aims to tackle some common and often nebulous issues experienced by creatives, presented in partnership with UnderExposed.
Join us for a relaxed and open conversation that aims to tackle some common and often nebulous issues experienced by creatives: How can an artist sustain their practice? Is isolation common and how can we connect? How do we provide and receive care? How do we address that which is often unspoken and/or invisible?
Working together as a creative community, we will collectively think about Action Points that can be implemented in our lives to attempt to demystify or provide solutions to the challenges many of us face. This is the first part of an ongoing series of events that will take a holistic and democratic approach in investigating and examining the challenges we currently face in today’s art sector.
UnderExposed is an art platform based in Brighton, U.K, conceived out of an awareness of the dissonance in the art world. Our photography-based collective is an initiative that globalises action through sharing ideas and knowledge, and showcasing artwork in alternative spaces. Aiming to strengthen community values by developing a network of artists that can support each other, UnderExposed is a community-driven intervention run by and for evolving artists.
Fabrica is wheelchair accessible with disabled access loos. The space can be a little chilly so we recommend wearing layers. Complimentary blankets and warm vegan/gluten-free food provided.
If there’s anything else at all that we can do in advance to make you feel welcome, please get in touch with our team at [email protected]. There are 5 complimentary tickets available, please get in touch to request.
