Jamila Prowse is an independent curator, writer and editor, aiming to develop new dialogues around identity and wellbeing within the visual arts. Recent projects include ‘Dancing in Peckham’, a group show of moving image and photography exploring dance as a unifying practice, Peckham 24 (May 2019); MOVE, a solo exhibition by Ronan Mckenzie exploring the multiplicity of black womanhood through dance, 1-1 in Basel (March 2019); ‘Reflections of Us’, a curatorial training programme for BAME people aged 16-25, Brighton Photo Fringe (October 2018).

Cairo Clarke is a London based independent curator and writer working across contemporary art and cultural spheres with a particular focus on interdisciplinary and performance-based practices. Clarke is most excited by instances for art that open out discourse to critical states of engagement and participation with diverse audiences. Most recently Cairo Clarke launched SITE; an initiative supporting artists and socio-political practices to circulate in performances, commissions printed matter and exhibition projects. The first edition of SITE is currently part of The Studio Museum in Harlem’s Radical Reading Room From May-Oct 2019.

Based in Bristol, Raquel Meseguer is the founder and Artistic Director of Unchartered Collective which grew out of conversations between a small group of Bristol-based creatives, all of whom experience persistent pain. Since 2016 Raquel has been developing projects and an aesthetic that explore difference as a creative tool. Her installation ‘A Crash Course in Cloudspotting (the subversive act of horizontality)’ was presented at The South Bank Centre, Unlimited Festival 2018 and at CENART, the National Centre for the Arts, Mexico City in 2019. A new version of the piece has been commissioned for Camden Alive in 2020 and Raquel will be developing this work through Fabrica’s Making Space programme in March 2020.

Ricardo Reverón Blanco holds a Masters in Art History and Museum Curating. Located in Brighton, he is a freelance writer, curator, and workshop facilitator. Alongside Ernesta Simkute, Marguerite Minnot Thomas and Eva Louisa Jonas, he is a co-founder of UnderExposed, a new art platform founded by and for evolving artists in December 2018. Their residency at O N C A Barge (August 2019) initiated honest conversations between artists in order to strengthen community values, resulting in the production of a publication: ‘Collaborative Imaginaries’. By showcasing artwork in alternative spaces, exchanging ideas and knowledge, and encouraging collaboration, UnderExposed works to foster a community of artists that can support each other locally and internationally.
