Cheese-loving eccentric Wallace and his cunning canine pal Gromit run a business ridding the town of garden pests. Using only humane methods, which turns their home into a halfway house for evicted vermin, the pair stumble upon a mystery involving a voracious vegetarian monster that threatens to ruin the annual veggie-growing contest.
Workshop: IT’S ALIVE! Stop motion skeletons and plasticine poltergeists.
“Beware, beware the beast within!” Did you know all stop motion puppets have a skeleton within them? They’re called an armature, they keep your puppet holding their pose! Usually made of twisted aluminium wire, we’ll be attempting a basic version with pipe cleaners and tape.
We’ll also have some play dough and plasticine to experiment with and try out making Aardman style characters, looking at how they use beads as eyes and stylise the shapes of their characters' features. Ghouls, monsters and Franken-creatures encouraged!
Please note all play dough/plasticine must be returned so take pictures of your Were-creations instead of taking them home
