This year's tour will focus on hidden-from-view artefacts and tell the story of unknown discoveries made during renovations across the years.
Learn the secrets of our building's architectural & social history, and discover the impact of leading figures across the ages - from nationally recognised artisans, religious personalities, and locally prominent individuals who have helped create this unique, culturally significant building.
Doors open 15 minutes before the tour starts so people can arrive in good time, access Fabrica’s charity cafe-bar, shop and facilities. Tours will start on the hour and there will be time afterwards for questions, chat, and a final look around the space.
The café will be available on site for hot drinks and snacks.
Suitable for all ages, this is an accessible tour on a site with a ramp entrance and disabled access loos.
Developed as part of Past:Present:Future, a Heritage Lottery funded project in which we researched the history of our 200 year old building, and presented a series of events and materials as part of this learning. Our book will be available to buy on the day in our gift shop, and is also available online.
