Men Who Make

Woodwork

Archive Workshops (7 June to 12 July 2024, 2.00pm - 4.00pm)
Men Who Make is a programme of free, creative courses for adult men experiencing mental health challenges.

From June to July 2024, Men Who Make invites you to explore woodwork in Fabrica’s newly converted makers space. We will use tools in the workshop to explore simple makes using traditional woodworking and modern methods, incorporating participants interests in our subject matter as we go. No experience necessary, just a willingness to have a go.

Through supportive sessions you are invited to learn new skills and learn the basics of working with tools in a wood workshop, or rekindle a previous interest!

If you would like to join, we will be a small group trying out techniques together, the atmosphere will be friendly and welcoming.

Steve Bannatyne is an artist and woodworker who works exclusively with waste materials. Steve has many years experience training and developing people, he has worked with a broad range of individuals and offers workshops on everything from power tools, furniture repair and sculpture.
