Step into a queer Jane Austen daydream.

No dance experience needed. Whether you’re brand new to dancing or a seasoned pro, you’ll be guided through each dance with clear, friendly instruction and time to practise before the music sweeps you away. Soon enough, you’ll be twirling the night away like Lizzy Bennet herself.

This joyful Regency ball is all about pleasure, play, and community. Expect to leave feeling energised, connected, and thoroughly full of dance‑floor delight.

The evening takes place in the beautiful hall at Fabrica and will include a professional photographer capturing both posed portraits and candid moments throughout the night, all made available after the event. There will be a costume competition, so come in your best apparel and vote for your favourite looks. Drinks can be purchased from the bar, and the venue is fully accessible.

This event is designed to uplift the LGBTQIA+ community and provide a safe space to dance together.

The Evening’s Festivities

7.30pm — Doors open
Arrive early to enjoy a drink from the bar and have your portrait taken by our wonderful photographer, NJW Photography.

8–8.40pm — Dancing (Round One)
We’ll guide you through each dance with clear instruction and a chance to practise before the music begins—no experience needed.

8.40–pm — Intermission
Rest, mingle, and refresh at the bar.

9pm — Drag performance (TBC)
We are lining up some dazzling talent—watch this space.

9.10–9.40pm — Dancing (Round Two)
More lively tunes and joyful group dancing.

9.40–10pm — Intermission
Costume competition tokens will be distributed to revelers shortlisted for their dazzling attire.

10pm — Costume Competition
Our most resplendent guests will take to the stage, with the audience deciding the evening’s most fabulous outfit.

10.10–11pm — Final Dancing & Surprise
One last set of dances, culminating in a suitably camp flourish.

11pm — Carriages arrive (event close)
