The Iron Giant

Family Film Screening

Film at Fabrica (10 April 2025, 2.45pm - 4.45pm)
This Easter break we are hosting a family friendly animation that will delight younger audiences and adults alike.

Meet the Iron Giant, who crashes down from the sky one day, into a small coastal town in 1950’s Maine. This metal-eating robot soon encounters a local boy, Hogarth, and their unlikely friendship leads to a tender, funny and heartwarming adventure.

Our story is told through beautiful and stylish animation that has continued to gain appreciation and affection long after its initial release.

A retelling of the English novel by Ted Hughes, this was the first animation from Brad Bird, who went on to create The Incredibles and Ratatouille with a similar combination of visual style, imagination and storytelling.

Ahead of the film between 3pm and 3.30pm we will be hosting a creative activity related to the film. Watch this space for more details.

Film is rated PG, for more guidance please check the BBFC website.
