The Wizard of Oz

Family Film Screening

Film at Fabrica (22 December 2024, 3.00pm - 5.00pm)
This Christmas, we invite you to join us for a magical family-friendly film screening of the timeless classic, The Wizard of Oz (1939).

The story follows young Dorothy Gale and her dog Toto who are longing to escape black-and-white drudgery on a Kansas farm. A tornado hits a farm and lifts the house into the sky and and drops it intact onto an unknown colourful magical land called Oz. In a bid to return home, Dorothy gathers some new friends, Tin Man, Scarecrow and Cowardly Lion, to help her fend off the Wicked Witch, reach the Emerald City and meet the wonderful but never-before-seen Wizard of Oz.

The Wizard of Oz still resonates for all audiences with valuable lessons of friendship, courage and perseverance. The classic feature is a bedazzled visual, storytelling and musical masterpiece.

Ahead of the film between 3pm and 3.30pm we will be hosting a creative activity related to the film. So come along at 3pm to make your very own Tin Man hat! You can even make your own heart, as too many Tin men seem to be without them these days

Film is rated U, for more guidance please check the BBFC website.

Doors & refreshments open at 3pm for a 3.30pm start. Affordable refreshments and popcorn stand on site.
