Events & Talks
(25 April 2013, 6.00pm - 7.00pm)
Artist Story events provide insight into artists’ working practices and career development. Visual artist Lucy Steggals works with people in order to explore different site and context specific work.
Her sources range from found objects or images, the everyday and the playful. Often drawing from collections, archives, everyday ephemera, history, or the environment. More recently her work has been created in public spaces, encouraging conversation, collaboration and other sorts of participation. Lucy’s talk will touch on recent projects including Colour mining in which she worked with local residents in Kent in order to explore their environment.
