Celebrate Future Film Festival at Fabrica and join BFI Young Film Programmer alumni Lilia Pavin-Franks and Georgia Hunter to learn about what festival programming is, how to curate for a film festival, what they look for in a film to make a shortlist and how to forge a career in the industry. We will explore these questions with films they've programmed at various points in their career*

Lilia Pavin-Franks is an event producer, programmer and writer who has worked across multiple film festivals and organisations like the BFI London Film Festival and BFI Flare, BFI Future Film Festival, BAFTA and Rianne Pictures’ Women X. She is particularly keen on platforming LGBTQ+ and female-led stories and has an interest in how tales of identity intersect with genre. Lilia currently works as an Event Coordinator at BFI Southbank, where she produces events for the public programme.

Georgia Hunter is an event manager, film programmer and fanatic. Starting off as a Fabrica Young Film Programmer, she currently works at Southbank Centre as a Commercial Event Administrator, helping to deliver BAFTA Film Awards, world premieres like Wonka, and BFI London Film Festival. In her career, she has worked collaboratively with BFI Future Film Festival, Oska Bright Film Festival, Cinecity, and BAFTA albert. Her interest lies in programming the mystical and whimsical, championing films with a sustainable message or method, and delivering immersive film events that prove unforgettably unique experiences.
