Queer Regency Revel:

An evening of ballroom splendour

Events & Talks (30 October 2026, 7.30pm - 11.00pm)
After the success of our first Queer Regency-themed Ball, we are set to return to the dancefloor for a spooky sequel. Ever wondered what it might be like to live inside a Regency novel - but make it gay? Now’s your chance. Don your finest Regency‑inspired Gothic attire and join fellow revellers for an evening of dancing, laughter, and connection at the Queer Regency Revel.

Step into a queer Jane Austen daydream.

No dance experience needed. Whether you’re brand new to dancing or a seasoned pro, you’ll be guided through each dance with clear, friendly instruction and time to practise before the music sweeps you away.

The evening takes place in the beautiful main hall at Fabrica, which will be decorated for All Hallows’ Eve. There will be a costume competition, so come in your best Gothic apparel and vote for your favourite looks. Drinks can be purchased from the bar, and the venue is fully accessible.

This event is designed to uplift the LGBTQIA+ community and provide a safe space to dance together. We are unequivocally trans-inclusive and are queering the Regency aesthetic - anyone can dance with anyone, we engage with the history through a critical lens, and we are taking back the period-drama aesthetic in a fun and camp way!

Dress up, dance boldly, and revel in Regency splendour.
