Do you love cinema and fancy running your own film night or event? Or have you been programming for a while and want to reconnect with old friends, meet new collaborators and discover what’s happening across the region?

Join independent film programmers, film clubs, festivals and community groups from Screen Shot and beyond for a relaxed evening of conversation, inspiration and networking. Whether you’re just getting started or are a seasoned programmer, it’s a chance to share ideas, make connections and discover some of the brilliant film activity happening in Sussex.

The evening will include a guest speaker (details will be announced soon!) plus a new quickfire session where five attendees will have three minutes each to share a project, programme or idea with the group - whether you’re looking for collaborators, promoting an established programme or simply have something you’d love to share.

A pay bar will be available throughout the evening, with alcoholic and non-alcoholic options.

Want to take part in the quickfire talks?
If you have a new project, an established film programme or an idea you’d like to share, let us know when you book. We’ll review requests after 14 November and confirm selected speakers before the event. Talks will be strictly limited to three minutes!

Screen Shot is a website and monthly newsletter promoting alternative film events across Sussex. We work with independent programmers, film clubs, festivals and community groups to help special events, pop-up screenings and live cinema reach wider audiences.

Screen Shot was formed in 2019 by CINECITY, The Old Market, Oska Bright Film Festival, Open Colour, Fabrica, Attenborough Centre for the Contemporary Arts and Women Over 50 Film Festival, and is managed by Fabrica.
