The People's Emergency Briefing

+ Q&A with Alice Yates from Wild Purpose

Film at Fabrica (18 November 2026, 6.00pm - 9.00pm)
Join us at Fabrica for a free screening of The People’s Emergency Briefing, presented by Enjoolata, who are covering the cost to ensure everyone can take part. Hosted by Chris Packham, the film brings together leading UK climate and nature scientists, alongside voices including Jennifer Saunders and a former British Army general, to explore what’s happening – and what we can do about it.

Rather than focusing on doom and gloom, The People’s Emergency Briefing explores how climate and nature breakdown is already affecting the things we all rely on – from food and health to our homes, infrastructure, economy and national security. It also looks at the practical actions that can still be taken to reduce these risks.

The film is based on the landmark National Emergency Briefing, where more than 1,200 MPs, peers and leaders from business, culture, faith, sport and the media came together to hear directly from experts about the climate and nature crisis. The briefing has now been transformed into a national community screening programme, bringing this information to communities across the UK and creating space for conversations about what comes next.

Following the screening, join us for a panel discussion and Q&A with Alice from Wild Purpose, exploring local action and environmental initiatives.

Wild Purpose brings people of different generations together through nature, creating opportunities to learn from one another, nurture personal growth and explore ideas for positive change. The discussion will offer a chance to reflect on the film and consider what action might look like within our own communities.

“I’d encourage people everywhere to attend a screening of The People’s Emergency Briefing. It creates exactly the kind of honest local conversation we now urgently need, both about what these changes mean where we live, and about what we can do together to address them.”
