Telling distinct and diverse stories from hoards gleaned from the city to the soil. From cherished lifelong friendship to the alchemy of archives these films celebrate short-form documentary in all its styles and artistic approaches.
These thought provoking films, selected from an international open call and invites consider cultural, social and personal perceptions of treasure.
Now firmly established, Short Circuit continue to celebrate the work of artist filmmakers at all stages of their careers. Their established themed screenings bring together emerging, established, and award-winning artists and filmmakers to share and celebrate the rich variety of short-form documentary styles and artistic approaches.
The programme will last appoximately 1hr 40 mins in total, including a short interval for discussion and drinks.

Short Circuit is a non-profit, volunteer-run community event and is part of the BFI Audience Network and FilmHub SE. Launched in November 2015, themed screenings invite, emerging, established and award winning filmmakers to share alternative approaches to documentary storytelling.
