Open Call: Fabrica Winter Art Fair

We are inviting expressions of interest from artists and makers creating distinctive, original work across a range of disciplines. We are particularly interested in beautifully made work with a strong creative identity, including painting, printmaking, ceramics, textiles, jewellery, illustration and more. The fair will bring together a carefully selected and varied mix of artists and makers, offering visitors the opportunity to discover and buy unique work directly from its creators.

Set within our striking former church in the heart of Brighton’s historic Lanes, the fair will provide a memorable setting for a festive weekend of art, making and independent creativity. For 30 years, Fabrica has provided space for artists’ ideas to take shape and be shared with audiences. This new fair continues that tradition, creating an opportunity for artists and makers to showcase their work, connect with new audiences and sell during the busy Christmas shopping season.

The fair will remain open until 7pm on Saturday, creating an opportunity for visitors to enjoy an evening of festive shopping. Live music, a DJ and the Fabrica bar will help create a lively atmosphere and encourage visitors to stay, explore and discover the work on offer.

We are committed to keeping stall fees affordable, creating an accessible opportunity for artists and makers while supporting and celebrating the creative community around us. We will promote this inaugural event through a targeted campaign across digital and print channels, helping to build awareness and attract visitors to the fair. Fabrica’s central location attracts strong footfall, with previous fairs welcoming more than 500 visitors each day on average. Entry to the fair will be free, helping to make the event accessible to a wide audience and encourage visitors to explore and buy directly from exhibitors.

Expressions of interest will be reviewed by a selection panel, with successful applicants chosen to create a vibrant, varied and high-quality fair.
