PAST: PRESENT: FUTURE was a restoration and learning project about the former Holy Trinity Church, Brighton. Funded by Heritage Lottery Fund, it comprised f three main elements:
Physical repair of several of the building’s key assets, including stained glass windows, a wall-mounted memorial, oak and York stone flooring and parts of the original 1817 gallery.
If These Walls Could Talk – a two-year research project for volunteers centered around the building through history. The research team work to gather the materials, information and images which will then be produced into a full-colour book telling the story of Holy Trinity.
The creation of learning resources for a wider public to disseminate our research and as a legacy for Fabrica’s future commissioning of artists, including the colour book of the Holy Trinity and a new heritage engagement programme including film screenings, traditional craft skills workshops, tours and specialist talks, and presentations by volunteer researchers.
