Every year Fabrica makes its space available to artists to test new ground in their practice, opening up the possibility to use the space in imaginative ways and experiment with new ways of working.
Gravity & Levity will be using their week at Fabrica to set up their aerial rig, rehearse, then show a free work-in-progress performance to a small audience at 6.30-8.30pm on Thursday 22 March. Audience members will be invited to share their responses in an informal feedback session afterwards as part of the event, thereby contributing to the next stage of development for the piece.
Ordinary Grief aims to bring focus to and elicit conversation around the rarely discussed topic of ‘loss’ and offer a visceral experience that legitimises the emotional one. This work signals a significant departure from Gravity & Levity’s usual theatre-based production method, with the company seeing to work with Fabrica’s space and visual arts expertise, as well as our ‘end of life’ interested audiences.
