Saxa Loquuntur is a Latin aphorism meaning “the stones speak,” often used to describe the messages and insights we uncover from ancient sites and artifacts. It suggests that history is embedded in the materials around us, waiting to be heard.
Throughout the residency, Kate has been shaping the ritual using words, thoughts, and imagery contributed by those who have placed stones in the circle. These personal offerings have become part of the evolving narrative, inscribed with traces of intention and memory.
At the event, Kate will lead a collective reading of the ritual, inviting attendees to actively participate in bringing it to life. This will be followed by a relaxed and informal Q&A, where you’ll have the opportunity to discuss the process, themes, and experience of the work with the artist.
Join us for an evening of quiet resonance, shared voices, and the possibility of hearing what the stones might have to say.
